Direct Affiliate and Voluum

Direct Affiliate provides a selection of offers from nutra, health and wellbeing verticals. They operate mainly in European GEOs. The following guide provides you with information on how to set up tracking of their offers with Voluum.

In order to start using one of Direct Affiliate's offers, you need to have the following things ready:

• An active Direct Affiliate account
• An active Voluum account

Once you have everything ready, follow the steps described in this guide.

First, you will need to find a suitable offer from Direct Affiliate. To do this, perform the following steps:

1. In Direct Affiliate, go to the Offers view.
2. Use the filtering options to narrow down your search.
3. Click on the offer that you want to promote.

4. Select a GEO.

   

5. Click the Copy button next to either the pre-landing or the form page (depending on if you want to direct your visitors to a landing page or directly to the offer) links to copy it to the clipboard.

   

You have now obtained your offer link. The next step will take place in Voluum.

In the second step, you need to add an affiliate network element to Voluum. This step is optional but highly recommended. It will allow you to get the correct tracking parameters and will organize your offers under one affiliate network category. In order to do so, perform the following steps:

1. In Voluum, go to the Affiliate networks tab.

2. Click the Create button and select the Affiliate network option from the drop-down menu.

   

3. Select Direct Affiliate from the list of available templates.

4. Click the Next button.

   

5. Click the Save button.

   

Once you have added an affiliate network element, you need to add an offer element with the link that you have obtained from Direct Affiliate. In order to do so, perform the following steps:

1. In Voluum, go to Offers.

2. Click the Create button and select the Offer option from a drop-down menu.

   

3. Provide a name for your offer in the Offer name text field.
4. Paste the copied URL in the Offer URL text field.
5. Select the affiliate network element that you have created from the Affiliate network drop-down menu.

6. Copy the tracking parameter and paste it at the end of the offer URL after the & character.

   

7. Click the Copy button next to the postback URL.

8. Click the Save button.

   

Your offer has been added to Voluum and the postback URL copied to the clipboard.

In the final step, you need to submit the postback URL that you have copied from Voluum in Direct Affiliate settings. In this guide, we will show you how to set up a global postback, that will apply to all offers. If you use other tracking solutions, you can always set up a postback URL at the offer level. In order to set up a global postback, perform the following steps:

1. In Direct Affiliate, go to Tools / Global Postback view.
2. Paste the postback URL that you have copied from Voluum in the Global postback URL - approve text field.
3. Select the Set for all offers option from the drop-down menu.

4. Click the Apply button.

   

5. Click the Accept button.
