RevContent Template Integration

Integration available: The following document describes the setup for the basic template integration. However, this traffic source can be integrated via a reliable API connection thanks to the Automizer feature. This enables accurate cost tracking, campaign management from the Voluum dashboard, and rule creation. If you want to fully integrate this traffic source with Voluum, read the Revcontent Full Integration article first.

Before You Start
  • An active Voluum account
  • An active Revcontent account
  • An offer, and optionally, a lander

I. Create a Campaign in Voluum

Create a campaign to generate a campaign URL that you will submit as a destination URL in RevContent.

  1. Add an offer.
  2. (Optionally) Add a lander.
  3. Add a RevContent traffic source from a template.
  4. Start creating Voluum campaign.
  5. Fill the required campaign details, select the RevContent traffic source, and an offer and lander. Save your campaign.
  6. Copy the campaign URL to the clipboard.

II. Create a Campaign in RevContent

  1. In RevContent, create a new campaign.
  2. When adding content, paste the Voluum campaign URL as a destination URL.
  3. Set up other content options and save changes.

IIIa. Set up passing conversions (using postback)

  1. In Revcontent, go to account settings and copy your API key.
  2. Go to Voluum and edit the RevContent traffic source.
  3. Edit the traffic source postback URL by replacing the <your_api_key> with the API value you copied. Your traffic source postback URL should look like this.

    https://trends.revcontent.com/api/v1/conversion.php?api_key=ee771ccc327336b950789eeb2e70d5c0576c07eb&uuid={externalid}&amount={payout}

  4. Set up conversion tracking in Voluum using any method.

IIIb. Set up passing conversions (using pixel)

  1. In Revcontent, edit your campaign and add a conversion tracking pixel.
  2. Copy the URL part of the pixel.
  3. In Voluum, edit the Revcontent traffic source and paste the copied link as a Pixel redirect URL, adding https:// before.
  4. Set up conversion tracking with Voluum conversion tracking pixel.
