Hostinger: Adding CNAME record

Old setup

  1. Go to the Domains tab in Voluum settings and click the Add custom domain button.
  2. Copy the name of your Dedicated Domain from the Domains tab in Voluum.
  3. Purchase your domain at https://www.hostinger.com/ and sign into your account.
  4. Go to Domains and then click Manage.
  5. Go to DNS / Nameservers.
  6. Select CNAME as the record type.
  7. Use any type of name for your subdomain, such as "track" or something less obvious in the Name field.
  8. Paste the Voluum domain name in the Target text field.
  9. (Optional) Lower the TTL time for faster propagation of DNS changes.
  10. Click the Add record button.

CloudFront setup

  1. Purchase your domain at https://www.hostinger.com/.
  2. In Voluum, go to the Domains tab in Voluum settings and click the Add custom domain button.
  3. Provide the custom domain name with any type of prefix for your subdomain, such as "track" or something less obvious and click Save and process.
  4. Copy both CNAME record names and values.
  5. In Hostinger, go to Domains and then click Manage.
  6. Go to DNS / Nameservers.
  7. Add the first CNAME record.
    1. Select CNAME as the record type.
    2. Provide the same prefix as you used in Voluum in the Name text field.
    3. Paste the domain record value that you have copied from Voluum in the Target text field.
    4. (Optional) Lower the TTL time for faster propagation of DNS changes.
    5. Click Add record.
  8. Add the second CNAME record.
    1. Select CNAME as the record type.
    2. Provide the certificate record name that you have copied from Voluum in the Host text field.
    3. Paste the certificate record value that you have copied from Voluum in the Target text field.
    4. (Optional) Lower the TTL time for faster propagation of DNS changes.
    5. Click Add record.
  9. Add CAA record.
    1. Select CAA as the record type
    2. Leave "@" as the name.
    3. Set Flag to "0".
    4. Set Tag to "issue".
    5. Provide one of the following domains in the CA domain field:
      • amazon.com
      • amazontrust.com
      • awstrust.com
      • amazonaws.com
    6. (Optional) Lower the TTL time for faster propagation of DNS changes.
    7. Click the Add record button.
