Wiget Media as a Traffic Source
Wiget Media provides traffic from all GEOs and al countries. You can use this traffic to feed your campaigns that are tracked with Voluum. The following article provides instructions on how to set up tracking of Wiget Media traffic with Voluum.
Before You Start
There are several things required to have before setting up tracking:
- An active Voluum account.
- An active Wiget Media account
- An offer, and optionally, a lander

I. Create a Campaign in Voluum
The first thing you need to do is to create a campaign in Voluum. This will provide you with a campaign URL that you will submit to Wiget Media as a media URL. In order to do so, perform the following steps:
- Create an offer element. Read the Add an Offer to Voluum article to learn how to do that.
- (Optionally) Create a lander element. Read the Add a Lander Element article to learn more.

Create a traffic source element. Voluum provides you with the Wiget Media traffic source template, so you can use it and skip most of the manual setup. In order to use this template, perform the following steps:
- In Voluum, go to Traffic sources.

Click the Create button and select the Traffic source option from the drop-down menu.
- Select the Wiget Media template.
- Click the Load template button. The New traffic source form will appear.

You can change or adjust any option in the New traffic source form. Once you have done so, click the Save button.

Create a campaign.
In Voluum, go to Campaigns, click the Create button and select the Campaign Simple or Campaign Advanced option from the drop-down menu.
- In the New campaign form, select the Wiget Media traffic source that you have just created from the Traffic source drop-down menu.
- Provide a name for the campaign in the Campaign name text field.
- Select the Private Workspace that you want this campaign to be assigned to from the Workspace drop-down menu.
- (Optionally) Select a lander you have previously created from the Landers drop-down menu.
- Select the offer that you have just created from the Offers drop-down menu.

Click the Save button.

Click the Copy button next to the campaign URL to copy it to the clipboard.
- Click the Done button.

II. Create a Campaign in Wiget Media
The second step you need to do is to create a campaign URL in Wiget Media. In order to do so, perform the following steps:
- In Wiget Media, go to the Create view.
- Click the Campaign button.
- Provide a name for your campaign in the Campaign name text field.

Configure additional settings according to your needs and click the Next button.
- Set various targeting options according to your needs by going to various targeting tabs.

Click the Next button.
- Set your traffic type.

Click the Next button.
- Select your ad type.

Provide a name for your ad in the Ad name text field.
- Upload your creative.
- Provide your creative's title and description.
- Paste the campaign URL that you have copied from Voluum.

Click the Next button.
- Set your bid and budget options.

Click the Next button.
Provided you have funds in your account, the traffic will start flowing through Voluum to your landing page and ofer, that you have defined in Voluum.

III. Configure a Traffic Source Postback URL
This step is optional and is needed only if you want to pass information about conversion from Voluum to Wiget Media. In order to do so, perform the following steps:

Add a tracker to Wiget Media and get the tracker ID.
- In Wiget Media, go to the Manage trackers view.
- Provide a name for the Voluum tracker.

Click the Create button.
- Click the name of the tracker to expand it.

Copy to the clipboard the tracker ID value, that is the number after the
tid=
parameter name.

Attach a tracker to your campaign in Wiget Media.
- Go to the Dashboard view.
- Go to the Campaigns tab.

Edit the campaign that you have created by clicking the Edit button.
- In the Conversion tracking section, select the tracker that you have just created.

Save your changes by clicking the Save button.

Submit a tracker ID to the traffic source postback URL in Voluum.
- In Voluum, edit the Wiget Media traffic source that you have created.
- In the Traffic source postback URL section, replace the
INSERT_TRACKER_ID
phrase with the tracker ID that you have copied from Wiget ID. -
Click the Save button.
You have succesfully set up passing information about conversions from Voluum to Wiget Media.
